Gales Creek Camping, Fishing and All-Around Fun
June 13th, 2011 by Angie Marsh
A photo essay says it all:

Select deep pools make for good flyfishing along Gales Creek, which is a tributary to the Wilson River in the Tillamook National Forest. Photos by Mike Marsh.

A portion of the Tillamook State Forest is in Washington County, including the Gales Creek campground.

Sometimes the fun is greater than the size of the catch in flyfishing. After all, it is catch and release.

The creek is just steps from all 21 campsites and a day-use area at Gales Creek, just off Wilson River Highway (Hwy. 6), 20 miles west of Forest Grove, Oregon--where people lounge on logs.
